Dot NAME Domain Names

Set up in 2001, the .NAME generic TLD is the single TLD meant for personal sites only. These domains can consist of personal or fictional names, aliases and/or other titles people are known by. Initially, only 3rd-level registrations were possible, so if you wished to order john.doe.name, you were supposed to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were loosened and second-level registrations were also allowed. Already purchased 3rd-level names remained active.

Through our firm, you can obtain your .NAME domain for an interval between 1 and 10 years. You will have the chance to switch the WHOIS contacts, to park your domain, to edit Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an existing domain to our company if you get its EPP transfer authorization key from the current domain provider and we will renew it as soon as the transfer has been completed. There are no special rules on who can acquire a dot NAME domain name, but in order to keep the idea behind its creation alive, the .NAME Registry may verify who the Registrant is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration may be challenged.

The .NAME generic TLD is one of the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no added cost. In this way, your dot NAME domain will be recognized in your country or area with the exact spelling in your local language.
